Vinyl
Printing
What is it?
-
There are two types of vinyl we use; HTV and Adhesive. HTV is heat transfer vinyl, printed with a heat press. Adhesive is the vinyl that is used to make decals.
-
HTV is a vinyl used to decorate apparel, bags, and other soft goods with a press using high heat and pressure to adhere it.
-
HTV and Adhesive Vinyl are both cut with a vinyl cutting machine, and then use a process called "weeding" before they are ready for use. Read more about the processes in future blog posts.
BEST TIME TO USE IT:
When you're wanting a small batch of apparel, an individual shirt, a car or window decal, or something of that nature.

Sublimation
What is it?
-
Sublimation printing is a digital printing process that uses heat and pressure to transfer dye onto different materials.
-
The dye is printed on a special transfer paper using sublimation inks, which are also known as disperse dyes, then pressed on the product with a heat press, causing the dye to turn into a gas and penetrating the product. (Can only be done on light colors)
-
This results in full-color, high-resolution images that are long-lasting and vibrant. (Best on at least 50% polyester tees or higher, and sublimation coated products)
-
No white can be printed using this method.
BEST TIME TO USE IT:
When using light colored shirts, bleached shirts, etc.
Screenprint
